Hi. My mom just bought a 2012 from CarMax, within 2 days her backup stopped working and the blind spot sensors were always ON. She of course took it back in and they said there was a short somewhere and they had to replace a box and the fuses. I'll get the exact info and post. Hopefully you've resolved the problem by now

Most likely the blind spot detection sensor(s) failed, as they tend to do, causing the fuse (M34) to blow. Since the backup camera and backup warning and compass, etc, use that same fuse, this causes those things to stop working. Replacing or disconnecting the blind spot detection sensors (and replacing fuse M34) takes care of the problem, in this case. See photo of the two failed blind spot sensors from my 2012 T&C.

On my Ford F 150 the reverse camera works some times and not others. Any ideas?

Anyone know how to make the grid lines curve when back up so they show you your path? We just purchased a used one and it worked when we test drove but when they wiped the unit to factory settings it was gone? We can't find how to change it.

My rear view camera image is delayed I put it in reverse. Image used to appear much quicker. Why is that happening?

FranklinSOIC14 hit it on the nail! Thanks a lot man! I had a 2011 Town & Country and it had this M34 Fuse blow all the time. The sensors are attached to the bumper inside. So you have to go under the bumper and look for the sensors which are small boxes. Solid State Drive sized. They were in the condition just like in the photos he posted. Once we cut the wires with the plug and sensors, we put back the fuse and problem solved. :D

My sensors were disconnected, but my fuses keep blowing when I put the car in reverse. Any thoughts on that one FranklinSOIC14

Hmmmm... I believe that the camera only gets powered up when the car is put into reverse. I will admit that I'm not an expert on this, but I would suspect the same for the backup warning ultrasonic sensor system. So, if M34 keeps blowing when you put the car in reverse, I would suspect something significantly wrong with the camera or backup warning system -- that is, power rail shorted to ground (chassis). I wish I could tell you the easiest way to disconnect the camera and backup warning so you can see which one makes the problem go away, but I actually have never done it. :^( maybe someone else on the thread can help?

I had an issue with my 2011 grand caravan camera. It would blink in and out sometimes and then quit working intermittently. One day it finally cut out altogether. I tried many things. Of course start with the usual, fuses and such. Finally I took the camera out and cracked it open to check the wiring. After some wire doctoring it worked for a while again. But something else was losing connectivity inside the housing. I would have it in and could “wiggle” the wires and it would come back on for a short time. It was too much to keep up with though and I just decided to live without a camera as it cost roughly $350 to replace it. Just the other day I found one advertised on amazon for $150. I decided to risk it and buy it. It came from China but arrived in 3-4 days. It is an exact replacement for the one in our vans! I installed it and it works great. I believe the soldering joints in the cameras just crack over time and cause intermittent signals. If this is something you can’t/won’t deal with then I suggest the link below from amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07FD8FS 7K?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_image Good luck out there!
