Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2010 Town and Country van
I will drive it all day and it starts fine.  Then all of a
sudden it won't start.  It just clicks.  We changed
the battery and starter hoping this would help.  It is
doing it again.  It just clicks.  Windows work etc.  It
just won't start.  Tried jumping it.  Still nothing.
Hooked it up to battery charger for about 5
minutes then it started???  We just don't
understand this?  Any ideas??

Ok, so of it's more than a volt how do you figure out where it's draining it from?

Same thing happens to mine. Sometimes the key locks and I cannot remove it after 30 minutes.

Starter connections. Loose grounds or under hood fuse panel. Check all contact/connections. Battery post. 2008 town and country 4.0. So many small problems. I got it cheap. So I can't complain. but i could see how this should come with the "extended warranty "

I'll virtually guarantee your TIPM is bad. My 2011 did same thing. I replaced TIPM and now starts every time! No problems at all. Warning.....dealer will charge 1,050.00 for new, don't waste your money. I ordered a rebuilt from a company called TIPM Rebuilders on the web, they are in California, cost me 350.00 and has same warranty as new! You can also install yourself if you are kind of handy. There are videos on their site as well as YouTube. I installed myself, took about half hour to remove and another 20 minutes to install my rebuilt. I've had mine for over a month and no problems at all!
