My car wont change gear

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a automatic 2002 sonata, it will reverse fine but put it into drive and it
will not change into any other gear, I've had no warning lights come on. Can
some help PLEASE.

There typically are no warning lights for transmission issues but it sounds like the car is not reliably moving forward. If you can, check the fluid level and insure it is properly full. Otherwise, take it to a shop to diagnose and correct. Good luck.

It came on out of the blue, the fluid levels have all been checked and are at the correct levels, thanks for the help.

Mine did same thing, it was the neutral safety switch, car would ether not go into drive, or it would start to drive then jump out of gear.

It moves slowly than change than jump in gear but still pull hard
