2010 Timing Belt Change

Asked by Greatnorthwoods Oct 17, 2018 at 08:52 AM about the 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2010 Cruiser has 82,500 miles on it and I am having the timing belt
replaced by a local garage. In addition to the belt I will have the water pump,
seals, belt tensioners, and cam pulleys replaced. I am also having the radiator
and heater hoses and motor mounts checked and replaced as necessary. I
still have the original spark plugs and wires sio I am having those checked
and replaced as necessary. Is there anything else I should have checked or
replaced at this time?

Well, I got no answers. Had the timing belt changed today. The only other thing that you should have checked that I did not mention in my inquiry is the V-belts. There are two and at 80K miles they are probably ready to be replaced. I have both replaced. My hoses were still in good shape. Plugs and plug wires needed replacement. Motor mounts were still good.
