Engine Failure/Transmission Failure

So, my 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 Tradesman (2 door, 8' bed) is in the shop. It
has 85k in terms of mileage. I have replaced fuel and water pump this summer
plus some emisiions work. My mechanic says it's on its way to needing a new
transmission and it might be a gamble because of engine failure (I believe I
have the 3.7 V6). The same engine is in some jeeps. Does anyone have any
input about this?

You might be better off selling it cheap and then buying a good truck (not a Dodge).
