How to disable a 2011 Hyundai Sonata without hurting anything
My 83 year old dad has dementia and wants to have his car near him
although he is not allowed to drive. I want to park the car outside his home
so that he has the comfort of seeing his car and knowing it hasn't been
stolen. But I cannot let him drive it; He doesn't have a license and is no
longer insured of course. How can I disable the car to be sure it won't start
but in a way that doesn't damage anything?

Thank you! I guess I should have asked for step-by-step instructions or a picture. Can you help me further? I don't know where this would be in the car. I hate to ask this but I am pretty flat-footed when it comes to cars.
remove the battery but remember if there is fuel in it (Gas) you need to drain other wise the gas will stink and the car will not start in future draining Gas is not easy fuel tank has to come down for not you can remove the battery .
Thank you, disabling the fuel pump fuse worked perfectly! We couldn't remove the battery because Dad knows cars and would certainly notice that. Follow up is that we were able to get Dad to agree to no longer drive and have since sold the car. Thanks to all.
