Piston Failure- No 2 piston small crack on top

Hello. My Cayenne diesel has 130000 km on clock.
Bought new and with complete Porsche service record.
Injectors are OK.
Do you know of similar problems in the VW group with these 3 litre diesel
engines to strengthen my hand negotiating with Porsche. Their only option is
complete short block replacement - extremely expensive.
Engine had a small miss. They had me paying for a engine control unit
upfront, but that did not solve the problem and after 30 days - new diagnose
is the one piston cracked.
Any suggestions?

Hi, I am having similar issues !!!! They've had my Porsche for over 3 months and now I'm told I need a new engine !!! Are you in Canada ?? I am dealing with Halifax Porsche. Perhaps we can share notes....
