Shocks for 330d SPORT

Asked by huggy Sep 16, 2007 at 03:15 PM about the 2002 BMW 3 Series

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have ghad the rear shocks replaced my 2002 330d SPORT. The shocks are genuine BMW ones but the cars ride height has went up, I was looking to make sure the shocks ar designed for the sport and not the SE! The details on the shocks are-

3352 2282461 03
105413 14
H4627M

Anyone any way of checking these to see??

Your BMW dealer can tell you whether those part numbers are correct for your vehicle or not. Keep in mind, SHOCKS do not control ride height and are merely vibration dampeners, but STRUTS control both ride height and felt vibration. Your vehicle's shocks may have failed to the point that they actually no longer maintained a constant height and were sagging a bit, causing ride height to be higher when proper replacements were put on.
