BMW 325xi 2006 idle

When I stop sometimes my idle will go
down and car will shake it only does it
sometime and my service engine light will
go on and stay in for few days then go out
jus for like a hour then it will checks again
get and come right back up any help ?

Tom knows his stuff, do what he says first. I had the same issue with my E90 (2008), but without ever having the code/check engine light. It turned out the intermittently rough idle was caused by a bad coil pack (ignition coil). All 6 were original and replaced, car had 140,000 miles at the time they were replaced, which fixed the issue. I also would not rule out bad spark plug(s).
