BMW 328xi SULEV Warranty

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Hi, the torque converter in my 2007 328xi
feels like it’s slipping occasionally ,
particularly on warmer days. The vehicle has
done 140000 miles. Does anyone know if the
SULEV warranty is still in effect and if it
would cover a failing torque converter?

Warranty at 140,000 miles? Uh, nope that isn't going to happen. Also it is likely that the transmission is slipping and not the torque converter. If the transmission is slipping you are about to find out that repairs to BMW cars are VERY expensive, because you likely need a transmission overhaul.
Ok. The warranty booklet mentions a 150000 mile warranty for low emissions engines so I thought I’d check if that also covered the transmission. I’m guessing not?
The transmission will not be covered under the emissions extended warranty.
