I have a Corsa Lite 14i - 2008 model. power steering. firstly where would the fuel pump be situated and my problem is, car has been great untill now going up a steep hill then car wants to cut out

The fuel pump is in the gas tank. You would want to check fuel pressure first before just changing out the fuel pump. Change out the fuel filter first, check the air filter, and clean the throttle body and the Mass Air Flow Sensor. Use the appropriate spray cleaners for each.
