where is the fuel filter on a 2011 ford escape

I believe it is part of fuel pump module in gas tank. My info says, the left rear seat can be lifted and carpet pulled back, there should be an access panel you can remove to gain access to fuel pump module in order to remove. You shouldn't have to drop gas tank. Hope this helps. Just be certain of problem before replacing parts.
