2011 Accent - 4 new coils , all new spark plugs, in past 3 months and still getting misfire. What else should be checked ?
Car bought used from Hyundai dealer in Aug. 2014. In Nov. 2014, stopped
dead on highway. Dealer replaced Coil #1 and all spark plugs. May 2015,
stopped dead again on highway, dealer replaced Crank Shaft. Oct. 2015,
Check Engine light came on, dealer replaced Coil #1 again. Nov. 2015, Check
Engine light - dealer replaced Coil #2. Dec. 1, 2015, Check Engine light -
Dealer replaced Coil #3. Dec. 2,2015 - Check Engine light - dealer replaced
Coil #4. Dec. 15 - all spark plugs replaced again (after 1 year). Jan. 19, 2016 -
Check engine light - Dealer says 'loose spark plug'. Feb. 3 - did 96,000 km
service (a bit early) at dealer (belts replaced, transmission fluid service, etc).
Feb. 7 - Check Engine light came on indicating misfire. No fault could be
found by non-dealer mechanic. Just waiting now for light to come on again !
Car has about 92,000 km and 2 months left on 5 year warranty. Any
suggestions on what might be going on ? The dealers just seem to replace
parts without worrying about what is causing the problem.
