I am a truck driver with a Class A license 30 years you should be alright fooling that long as both vehicles are sitting at a level stand back and look at it when it's hooked up both vehicle should look level you will be fine driving it remember the speed is only 55 miles an hour when you are Towing for any vehicle
If you read the fine print in your owners manual you will probably find that the towing capacity includes the load inside the car. Once you add your camping gear you will be over weight. Besides safety you are risking damaging the transmission when you over load. Trailer brakes will increase the safety factor even if they are not required.
I have an aliner 2006 Classic travel trailer.i will be buying a 2020 Toyota Rava4 hybird limitedCan I tow the trailer?
Find out the trailer weight and then allow for your stuff on top of that.
