How can I change the rear brakes on a 2011 VW CC 2.0T

Because the calipers MUST be released by the computer, you will need a VAGCOM software/cable system to perform the work yourself. A local German car garage may be able to help you avoid the cost of the equipment as well as the $900+ charge for the job from the dealership.

You can back the rear parking brakes off with the use of a cheap bluetooth obd2 scanner connected to an app called carista (10 bucks for a month of use) The scanner I used: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PJPH EBO/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_lxO.DbZ RRG863
