2011 Nissan Altima won't start but fan motor runs

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My car was running fine until I got ready to go to the store yesterday. I
stepped on the brake and pressed the start button...Nothing!!! Everything
came on radio, a/c even the fan motors. The car would not start. I was told
it maybe the starter since I just replaced the battery two weeks ago. I had a
new starter put on this morning went to start and the same thing happened
NOTHING!!! everything still came on fan motor and all but the car wouldn't
start. I googled and watched you tube videos to get some information. I
summed out the brake switch because my brake lights come on. Then I
was told it could be my neutral safety switch gone bad or the integrated
dynamic module. So I had it tested with the code reader and no codes are
being read at all it says an error. Can someone please point me in the right
direction. This is really weird.

Check for spark. Check for fuel. Probably fuel pump
I have over half a tank of gas. I was told I wasn't due for spark plugs. My car has 88k miles on it. How will I know if if the fuel pump?
Radiator fan continuously stays on for you? What was the problem
none of these answers are helpful since he said the cars starter is not engaging it would have to be a switch or sensor between the button and the starter

Did you ever figure out what was going on? I’m having the same problem
So the issue was my key fob wasn’t being recognized by my car. Lol apparently my car thought it was stolen so it wouldn’t allow me to operate it. I had to have my key reprogrammed. I seriously think the chick trying to use her key to enter my car was the problem. We had the same make model and color. Sorry it’s taken so long to reply.

shnqp75 -- Thanks for the reply! I will get this checked out asap. I have one more question though.. I don't live any where close to the dealer I bought it from which also wasn't a "Nissan Dealer". So where can I get my key reprogrammed at and is it going to cost hundreds of dollars to do so? Any info helps! Thanks
I had the same issue. Found out the fan came on because the engine control fuse was shorting out. I replaced the fuse and found the wire that was shorting it out. Car cranked problem solved.
Ferris, I’m having the same issue I will really appreciate your help... what is the engine control fuse and where is located? And what wire was shorting?
