Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My check engine soon light came on while driving
accompanied by some shaking. I do need an oil
change but I'm freaking out because the car has
never done this when the oil change is needed

Sounds like a misfire. Have code read and go from there. Any auto parts store will read it
