VW Golf Car-Go Part for Trunk

Asked by Kate Sep 21, 2016 at 08:31 AM about the 2011 Volkswagen Golf

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I have a 2011 golf and it has a hatch cover that
makes the hatch feel like a trunk. It attaches to the
hatch with two strings and lifts up when open. My
husband lost one of the strings and now it's
crooked and always needs to be fixed. Where can I
get a new string? I think the brand is CarGo.

I have a 2010 tdi golf. I would go to the nearest vw parts dept and look up the part number. Buy it there or search online. It will be hard to figure out the part number. There are many drawings online but you have to get the right one. My hatch cover has a broken peg and where the string connects broke! Found the parts at vw. Dennis
