Does the Murano have an alarm?

Asked by Stephanie Jan 28, 2017 at 03:15 PM about the 2011 Nissan Murano

Question type: General

I have a 2011 Nissan Murano. I just bought it used and
already someone attempted to break in by sticking
something in the door and I believe trying to pry it open a
little. They scratched the hell out of my car but the alarm
never went off. I believe my old car's alarm would go off
even if someone opened the door after it had been
unlocked a while (but I may be mistaken. It seemed to go
off a lot!).

Did they a actually open the door? From your description it sounds as if they only managed to get something wedged into it without opening it.Opening it without unlocking would certainly set off an alarm in a Murano or any modern car.
