I have a 2011 Santa Fe. Drove it to work today. got out...apparently left the key on accessory..went out an hour later and car doesn't start... Starter turns over fine...sounds like it's not turning the engine over though...battery is good... Any suggestions??

had the same problem with my 04 fe. after replacing the crankshaft position sensor and the coil packs it turned out to be the ignition module in the steering column. $100 part 1.5 hr labor at the shop.
Starter turns over fine but does not turn the engine? If the solenoid is pulling in enough to turn the starter and the engine does not turn over, you could have broken bell-crank that is not engaging the pinion gear into the flywheel gear. Replace starter.
My santa if cranks but won't start. Help!
2011 Santa Fe 2.4L. When starting, starter most times spins without appearing to engage the flywheel (you can hear the starter spinning, but engine not turning over), Occasionally it turns over the engine for a second, but then the engine stops turning and the starter continues to spin. Out of car the starter appears to operate correctly (Bendix goes out and back when starting and stopping).. Problem appears to be a bad/damaged Bendix in the starter.
