how do i clear codes. ad a cylynder misfire relaced coil and plug. But need to clear codes now

replaced coill on cylinder 3 now need to clear

Go to Auto Zone, Advance Auto,A Parts Store and get a cheap code reader and it will clear the codes. Dealers can also clear the code for $$$.

Thanks Mark, I just ordered one. I should ave done tat a long time ago.Since I would always drive there to get the codes for repair. Tis is only car I ave ever ad that they just don't clear themselves and disconnecting battery doesn't work tried that too.

A regular obd2 tester will wipe the codes. and removing the battery post you may experience some idle issues. If that happens its cause your throttle body will need to be re adapted. Normally people don't have issues but with the newer modals its all electronic. So i always suggest never unhook a battery unless you absolutely have to cause it often means you have to bring your car back to vw to have all the eletronics relearned.
