Hello, I've had the same issue on my 2008 Dodge Durango. Was stuck in sand for a while pulled out and the 4 low wouldn't disengage along with traction off even if its just on AWD. Solution: Run it neutral and the 4low will slip off to normal.

Try tapping top of selector switch a bit hard. I have been doing that for a year and it always works. I have new switch to install one day

My Durango citadel AWD started clicking from the transfer case about a week ago. Monday, I tried to shift it to low and back to auto trying to fix it and it then would not come out of low. After some searching, I bought a transfer case control module and today replaced it. Truck is fixed and took 5 minutes. The part was 183 at Rock Auto and is located under the driver seat
