2012 Cadillac SRX won’t start

IT COULD BE A STARTER OR START AT THE MOST INEXPENSIVE PART & CHECK THE BATTERY CABLES . OR CHECK THE FUSE 'S IS THERE ONE LABELED UNDER "IGN" OR "STARTER' ALSO BY CHANCE DOES IT HAVE A" PASSIVE ENTRANCE _ REMOTE" i/e keychain fob (that locks unlocks the car) OR BETTER YET A "REMOTE START" system.. why I asked the latter??? With the remote start system there is usually a box that has a spare key (one that has the computer chip in it ) IF THIS IS THE CASE do you know if THE KEY YOUR USING TO START YOUR CAR WITH .. IS IT ALSO A CHIPPED KEY PROGRAMED TO YOUR CADDY.. YOU CAN START THE CAR WITH A KEY THAT DOESN'T HAVE A CHIP OR ONE NOT PROGRAMED ALSO.... BUT ONLY IF YOU HAVE A REMOTE STARTER SECURITY SYSTEM.. (provided, there is a key in the hidden box that is programed for your vehicle) the purpose of that key is to fake out the security system telling the computer that it is safe/secure to allow the ignition/start function... also check out the connections on the windows there are little buttons that snap onto the window making a connection for the antenna(s) also the window defroster system reason I also ask this is : You'd mentioned "Remote not detected" had the car been washed or window tinted recently pryor ( a connection may have been undone. Or a physical wire dislodged or may have gotten water into the electrical components) .Sir I am no expert .. but i have extensive knowledge on each section that i had described even the window tinting .. what i have mentioned here ..I HOPE HELPS YOU TO NARROW IT DOWN OR EVEN FIND YOUR PROBLEM.. having same issue, except no lights come on and no click. battery in key fob and in engine bay are both fine, but nothing happens when attempting to start vehicle
