Why doesn't my remote make my car beep anymore?

My remote locks the car but it used to beep the horn as well.  I can sit inside and beep the horn - so I don't think it's a fuse.  Clicking the remote 2x should beep the horn.  Why doesn't this work?

bad connection, or it could be that the remote is getting worn out. try getting a new remote.
