Depends on the power plant as far as performance goes but reliability is not good. Personally I would not buy one.

My Niece bought a 2016 Malibu brand new and before the vehicle was a year old she had a transmission failure. She was without the vehicle for six weeks. According to her it's never ran right since. I also know she's been stranded with it twice, dead battery. I told her not to buy it and have reminded her of that several times. I'm sure she's had more problems with it than I know about. She doesn't want to hear "I told you so" again! Hope that helps! Jim
