Hello I have searched high and low to find you one of these, but have been unable to find a diagram online. Your best bet is to get a service manual. You can find these on ebay for very little money. Here is a search to get you started: http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&catref=C6&from=R10&submitsearch=Search&satitle=1996+mustang+manual&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&fmmk=&fmmd=&fylo=&fyhi=&mppfqy=1996+mustang+manual&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D2&sadis=200&fpos=02129&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=1%26fsoo%3D1&coaction=compare&copagenum=1&coentrypage=search Best of luck! On most cars the dash lights are connected with the tail lights, if you have no dash lights most likely there are no tail turn or brake lights either. Most cars have the fuses and what they are for printed right on the fuse box, either on top or inside the cover. If all else fails pull the fuses one at a time til you find the blown one or just replace them all. Fuses are cheap but getting rear-ended due to lack of taillights is not...good luck.
I ham having similar problems. You can start with fuses. I easily found my fuse box schematic for my 95 simply by googling the year and fuse box or a yahoo search.. should come right up for you.. mine is under dash, drivers side, easily accessible.
