oil filter

Depending on the problem, they do make a removal cap that fits over the end of the oil filter, you can use a ratchet and an extension, if need be? I haven't looked at your oil filter.
one of the major problems is that if I can get it in there and get ahold of the filter there is no room to move it to get it off. there is such a small space to work with and when you have large hands it makes things even more difficult
and now the filter is starting to get crushed even trying to use different oil filter wrenches

These filters are thin as paper and torqued on way too tight. Maybe trying to applying a band type wrench near the base will not crush as much. You might have to drive it somewhere for help so I hope it doesn't puncture.
just did my daughters 2011 same thing the drip tray plastic guard has to come off. I had to cut one end off to pull it through but I trimmed it and put it back on with one bolt and it stays in place, I really dont think yo u need it unless you do a lot of off road driving

If all else fails you could put a screwdriver threw it and turn it. In the future make sure you clean the threads and add new oil to threads in addition to the seal. Works like a charm usually for getting back off.
