AC in nissan Sentra blows cold sometimes and blows not cold other times

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
It works just fine for a while and then randomly the air coming out is not cold. Randomly it goes back to normal. The AC repair shop told me the only way to find out is showing up at the shop while the AC is not working properly. Any tips, advice?

Did they check the pressures? could be low on refrigerant. A way you can tell if you run the A/C, open up the hood and listen you will hear the A/C compressor clicking on and off. Sometimes fast, sometimes slow...If that's working ok you may have a defective pressure switch and this will turn on and off randomly..
This "random" situation can happen if there is contaminant in your refrigerant, usually water. I don't know if it can be tested but it can be fixed by flushing, vacuuming and filling the a/c at the shop. You could still have a leak but, most of the time, leak symptom is less cold a/c.
When i star my car air gos on without me turning it on
