I bought a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup that was in a big accident prior to my ownership The bed was replaced with a used one. For some reason, they cut and capped the outlet side of the fuel vapor canister filter, probably because the replacement tank filler line might be different. A new filter is cheap and I would buy one if I knew where the out let cnnects to. I don't see any open tubing. The gas cap and engine light goes on and, thus I want replace. Where does this go to? The fuel vapor canister is located above the fuel tank. A trip to your local Dodge parts department may be helpful so they can show you a parts diagram and you can determine what is missing.
