2012 Toyota Camry no sound out of speakers

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
The radio is a touch screen and it comes on but no sound comes through the speakers. I have checked the fuses and they seem good (unless I missed one) there is no factory amp under the passenger seat. I did see people post about an overloaded trunk being the cause but nothing would have tripped the two rear speakers. I would like to try to fix this without bringing it some where

I'm guessing your internal amp is gone. If all the speaker wires are hooked into the speakers, that's about the only check you can make. Just make sure that someone didn't hit a mute button or fade button. If it were a fuse issue, your radio wouldn't come on at all. I have done a little checking, and I think Toyota has an issue with the amps. Check this out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uoCzTWWfNkM
I also read the trunk issue. It's not about tripping the speakers. Check to make sure that all of your wires are actually connected to the speakers. Follow them back as far as you can to check for breaks in the wires. I have a feeling that if just one wire is disconnected or broken, the whole speaker system will fail. If no broken or disconnected wires, you will have to take it in for a diagnostic.
Did you ever get answer or fixed? We just had this happen with our 2012 camry
Heather, check the speaker wires in the trunk area. This seems to be the fix for the problem. Most people load the trunk and something breaks one of the wires to the rear speakers.
