I'm the orignal owner of a 2005 XLS, I've maintained the car myself, I have 210,000 miles on the car, the only thing needing fixing was replacement of the gas cap at 190,000, as the check engine light came on, then at 202,000 the belt tensioner pully started to make noise, I replaced that, this went out because I washed down the engine compartment with simple green and water, it washed the grease out of the bearing, I rrun prem fuel and get 31-34 mpg depending on road, (ie amount of hills, headwind) the performance is great, 0-60 in 6.0-6.5 , qtr mile 14.7@97.6 with the 5 speed auto that shifts like a shush box, one of the only things I don't like about the car. 1st set of tires lasted 70k, 2nd set 80k, I'm on my 3rd set now will make to 70k, overall it's been turn key go since day one, with very good care. I change oil with synthetic every 5k antifreeze @ 50k even though Toyota says the frist one can go to 100k the trans fluid at 25k, power sterring fliud at 30k, filters at 20k, car can go 100k between tune ups. Have fun.

I am the original owner of a 2006 Avalon Limited. The car is reliable, quiet with a smooth ride, Low maintenance at 160,000. miles 10 years old; expect to get another 2 yrs. out of it. Be sure to keep regular oil changes. Great driving on long trips to Florida , Georgia, Nice look, roomy and well made. Enjoy! Looking for a newer model Avalon limited
