How far would it take for a 2012 Honda Odyssey to get from 0 to 40?

0-60 in 7.6 seconds - see http://autofiles.com/0-60-times/honda/odyssey/
What distance though? I need to figure out how far down the road I would be when it hits 40

This is an odd question: Either you are trying to get others to do your physics homework (in this case compute the constant acceleration that would lead to the value above, then compute the number of seconds it would take you to get to 40mph using this acceleration, and then you need to think carefully how you go from there to the distance traveled) or you intend a stunt - in both cases I do not think I should give you the answer. ;o)
Actually trying to get out of a ticket. I was not going the speed stated and I need some numbers to prove that my van is not even capable of attaining that speed at the place he clocked me.

Well in that case: 7.6s from 0-60mph at constant acceleration (which a real car cannot, because of gear shits, wind, etc) means your car accelerates with 11.58 feet per square second. You then need 5.067 seconds to accelerate to 40 mph and in this time your car travels 149 feet. Not really sure how you intend to proof your car was at 0mph 149 feet before u got clocked. If there was a stop sign or red light you might want to be careful not to get a second ticket for not stopping before. Good luck!!
