Is it ethical for a dealership manager to preempt my down payment towards a purchase initiated through CarGurus when a prospective buyer stops by the lot AFTER the confimation for sale to me via Internet?
I am disappointed and somewhat upset that the head manager of Hendrick Honda decided to preempt my commitment for purchase of- and $1000 down payment towards- a used 2012 Honda Odyssey on his lot, because a prospective buyer is showing interest in the vehicle and is visiting his location (while I am 95 miles away in Vero Beach, FL). I confirmed my intentions to purchase this vehicle a day earlier, with a Hendrick Honda sales associate.
