X5 BMW battery down, the locks wont open,
only the drivers door opens, how do I get to
the boot so as to change the battery?

ive just done it. door has always had a rattle guess ive just fount that to be one of the lock bars off because the key doesnt work. If you pop off the rh as you look at it number plate light cover and remove the bulb you can get a charger clip onto the lh terminal and earth on the exhaust. I wouldnt recommend leaving it on too long but you can get enough charge in to operate the remote lock . ps if it sparks when you commect go with the other termonal
