How often should you change transmission fluid in a 2012 honda ridgeline?

Asked by Kandi Dec 03, 2016 at 12:39 PM about the 2012 Honda Ridgeline

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2012 Honda ridgeline and I just took it in to Honda dealership to get oil changed and they told me the transmission fluid needed changed. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how often should the transmission  fluid be changed and/or how many miles should be on it before it has to be changed??? They told me it was going to be 500.00. That seems awful high to just get transmission fluid changed.....can anyone tell me????

The recommended fluid change interval is in the owner's manual. It is a good read.
