Try turning the steering wheel back and forth while turning the key. If this does not work you may need the services of a lock smith,

I tried two different keys. I popped the little door open to free the gearshift and moved it in and out of park several times. I tried moving the steering wheel while trying the key. Nothing worked. The locksmith sprayed a lubricant into the lock, then hit the lockface about 20 times with a non metal faced hammer. Both keys worked after that. He told me the part could fail again and may require a Hyundai replacement part (no aftermarket). But he said he could install it for less than the dealer would charge and would also key it to my existing keys. Part is about $125. I didn't get an estimate for the locksmith to install.
