Flex Design error?

Asked by gayl Jun 17, 2013 at 03:36 PM about the 2013 Ford Flex

Question type: General

I can't seem to get a reply to the answers I had for my Flex glove box question.  I will try again.  This is not the defroster nor the dash board.  When the glove box is opened, there is an open slot approx.  3/4' and perhaps 8" across.  Things can fall over and back through this slot.  I believe that my check book, when placed in the glove box, on top of many larger items, went back through this open slot and fell somewhere.  I can get my small size hand through this slot up to my wrist but no further.  Is it possible to get to this space behind and under the box by raising the hood?  I tore out all the carpet below the box and dropped pennies down the slot and they landed somewhere.  Where?  Has anyone else had this problem ?   It never occured to me that the back upper part of the glove box was open like this until 2 things placed in the full box disappeared.  Then, I felt and found the opening.I don't know how else to make my problem more understandable.  Help!

Gayl,Looking at a 2013 flex, if anything falls behind glove box opening it should fall down on top of a panel under dash that can be removed, black panel is held on with little black pushpins this is the only thing i see where anything might end up,hope this helps.
