Check to see it says park on the dash if automatic, it will sometimes think it’s in gear when it’s actually in park but the cluster will tell you what gear the car thinks your in. Try shifting through gears and make sure your battery is good. Also look to see in antitheft light is blinking when attempting to start. If it’s a manual check the neutral safety switch
