Car vibration over 70mph, mechanics can't solve it!

Asked by Fresher1989 Aug 08, 2019 at 12:26 PM about the 2013 BMW 3 Series

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Came on all of a sudden, my steering starts to vibrate once I get over 70mph.
Hitting a pot-hole seemed to be the cause. Through advice I got the tracking
fixed and front tyres balanced. Still the same problem.
Takend to a 2nd mechanic, they've put it on the platform, no visible damage
to any parts. Re-done the tracking and wheel balancing, still the problem is
there! Any insight?

I would have the wheels check for roundness. I suspect one of them is slightly bent. Find a shop that specializes in wheel repair or your BMW dealer.
