if you are certain you will not be using it, such as florida, then just more parts to wear out, on older m-models, (not to scare you), many had the common problem of the front transfer case going bad, a massive time consuming job, that often mechanics find short cuts, but charge you the full boat to change, it used to be between the frames, (not sure if the design changed as body style changed or not), but I am a "capable kind of guy", if i can have it why not...some are more logical, how long do you intend on keeping the vehicle, as the warranty is usually 5 years, 50 thousand miles. but what is the difference in fuel consumption?
