towing '92 Isuzu Rodeo behind motorhome

Asked by love2learn May 13, 2009 at 02:21 AM about the 1992 Isuzu Rodeo

Question type: General

we are wanting to tow a '92 Isuzu Rodeo, manual transmission, manual hubs, behind our motorhome.  Is this possible? Do we have to do and modifications or adaptations? Can we tow it with all 4 wheels down? If we must tow on two wheel tow dolly do we tow with it facing forward or backward? Is 4 wheels down or dolly better and why? Any other special concerns, restrictions, advice, devices, info? Thanks so much for the help!

you need to find a way to get the back tires off the ground and unlock the hubs. The reason is that there is no tranny fluid running though the tranny when it is off so when you get the back tires off then the trany wont engage and wont burn up (neutral doesnt help either). Just use a towing dolly with car facing backword and all is good.
