2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Can a dead battery lead to transmission problems?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently had to get a jump for my battery, not sure yet why, (another
story) but then i found my transmission didn't want to go into gear,
slipping the whole works. I've had no problems or hints at all that
something is wrong with the transmission or needing repair. The fluid
levels are still fine and not smelling burnt at all. Is this related to a dead
battery and can i maybe reset this or something?

I would have to say no, unless of course the cables got reversed and "fried" your ecu. Try resetting the ecu by removing the battery cables for 10 or more minutes (and step on the brakes or switch lights on to further drain the power source) and see if that works.
