what is the name of the (stabilizer/sway bar)that runs across the front of the rear axle?

Asked by GilBret1 Feb 07, 2007 at 12:56 PM about the 1995 Ford Bronco

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I would have to say it is approximtley 1/2 inch in diameter. It has bushings on it by the frame, and goes from Drivers side, just inside the wheel to passenger side just inside the wheel

Hello GilBret1-- Guess what. That stabilizer bar you describe is actually called a stabilizer bar, although I have called it other things, like @#*!%&* when I have been working under my Bronco. Go to the following site and you can pull up a full-size diagram by clicking on the small one.
