Current hard top looking for soft top

Asked by James Apr 22, 2016 at 11:49 PM about the 2003 Jeep Wrangler

Question type: General

I just bought a 2003 Jeep Wrangler sport with a
hard top. What is the process to put on a soft top.
I've priced replaced soft tops but is there more to
consider?

make sure you get the door surrounds and header channel (goes on top of windshield) with the new top. most brands will indicate if they require the existing hardware of an original top or not as well. I have a Bestop Trektop NX which comes with everything you need, it goes directly over the bars and has a flip function to get the front open easily. I like it. My understanding is that Bestop makes or used to make the factory tops as well. I haven't tried other brands myself so I can't speak for those.
