how rusty is it? Surface rust, I wouldn't worry, rust that has holes in the frame. time to scrap it.

There is no loose rust to scrape off. I'm wondering if rustolium paint will keep it from rusting more. It's my 2000 Jeep Cherokee sport and I love this car. Everything is in good shape except for the frame rust up under and near the wheels and only 8000 miles on it. I can't bring myself to give it up yet

Rust can sometimes be repaired. If the rust is not too bad I might sand it, paint over the bare metal and then cosmoline the whole frame.
