Why would you wanna swap motors? If its a power issue, Avenger makes a supercharger for the Inline 6 and Inline 4, theres all sorts of power programmers for the 2000, along with doing HIE, underdrive pulleys, etc. Depending on what you have now, theres an almost certain chance that your Transmisson won't tolorate an LS1, thus requiring a tranny swap, as well as a t-case swap. That's gonna require new driveshafts, not to mention making/getting new crossmembers, motor mounts, PCM & wiring harness, etc. I'm certain it can be done, but Your best bet is to keep what you have.

For the most part the I6 can be beefed up to the power levels of a modest v8. In the long run it may be cheaper to build a 4.7 liter stroker engine to swap in, but the post about the supercharger is rediculous.... Way too much money.

Swap to a 350, its more reliable, its a gm motor so it will last longer, run better, and girls dig the chevy jeep.
