Question type: General

I haven't been able to locate a latch from inside the car to open the lift gate.  I
have never seen one without it.  Would come in handy in an emergency.

We couldn't find it. We've had the car for 1.5 years. We will look again. The car handbook says nothing about it and google searches came up empty. When the battery died absolutely nothing worked and we couldn't unlock the doors manually from the inside because the little stick is sunk into the door. You can't grip it. I tried to get extenders but the lock is one piece and can't be unscrewed. It's really a dangerous car if there is no latch.

Why is it that people ask questions on this forum and no one answers. What then is the point of this platform?

This video shows you how. https://youtu.be/-MNGCowXau4 There is a square below your back window with an opening at the bottom to help you pop it open with a screwdriver. Inside there should be a white latch you pull over to open the hatch. I haven't tried it yet though.
