Chevy Equinox 2014 P0172

Asked by Joehdz17 Feb 07, 2022 at 05:37 PM about the 2014 Chevrolet Equinox

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have been problems with my Equinox and had to replace my timing chain
(whole timing chain kit) and intake vvt solenoid. Now I get this new code
error P0172, and while I'm at a red light, my car shakes and then shuts off.
This only happened once. The engine light went away after two days, but I
am wondering if there is a quick fix so I can avoid another visit to the shop
and save my bank account.

that is a code to indicate a rich condition. Search online for P0172, there are many reasons why. Did you forget to plug in an O2 sensor or MAF? vacuum leak?
