Having trouble with my 75 F150. Recently had the carb rebuilt, new fuel pump, new fuel filter, new electronic ignition, and coil pack. But it won't stay running. Any suggestions?

Cound be anything from fuel delivery, ignition, vacuum leaks etc. Suggestion would be to get a vacuum gauge kit which would probably be less than $20, hook it up and start the engine. The vacuum gauge should have little notes inside the dial to help you out. One thing for sure, if you have a vacuum leak you'll know it with the gauge.

okay. I'll try that. Noticed that there is no resistor on the coil. Could that make a big difference?

On my early 70's model hopped up Grand Torino sport there was an ignition module bolted on the firewall next to the battery. It a little smaller than a cigar box and half as high. Every time it headed up the engine would kill. After it cooled it would start, run for a while, then kill again. If it happens again carefully pour cold water on it to cool it down. If it starts then there is the problem. I finally had to reroute the thing closer to the radiator where air was passing over it constantly. It worked.

Some of your problem could be the mehanic that did the carb overhaul. Lots of chances to make a mistake when doing that if you are not familiar with the model your doing. Just because you can do one kind does not mean you can do all kinds.
