Question type: Shopping & Pricing
I have the original purchase agreement(left in truck by previous owner). The
truck sold for $36,059 on 3/3/14 new. How can it depreciate only $6000 with
52,886 miles and moderate wear to an unprotected bed.

Dealers ask a high price but will usually take less so do some price research and offer them what you think it is worth.
I have seen dealers ask higher than new car prices for 2 year old cars because there are suckers out there. Use pricing guides like NADA, Blue Book, Car Gurus etc.
I just bought a 2014 Nissan Frontier with 21,000 mi from East Coast sales for $8,900 bucks... The Truck was in perfect condition (until I hit a deer) This truck ,,, along with all the other vehicles on a dealers lot was totaled even though the water mark on the insulation only showed the water to have reached 2" above the floor .. I have driven through puddles almost that deep
I bought a new Subaru because all the dealers in my search area wanted higher than new car prices for 2 to 3 year old cars. Cars with 30 or 40k on them!
